T04E or something else?
Ok I'm looking to go to a bigger turbo now. The stock one just isn't cutting it. I have been looking at a T04E because i hear that they can put down around 400rwhp with minimal lag. I would like to have somewhere between 400 and 500rwhp, but also with not too much lag. I don't want the turbo to only make useable boost over 5Krpms. I would like it to come on around 3-4K or lower.
Here are my current mods: Moderate Streetported 91 Rotor Housings, 87 everything else 3mm seals Engine built by rx7 specialties in calgary 850cc secondaries RP downpipe Presilencer HKS 65mm exhaust HKS intake Apexi S-AFC HKS EVC III Greddy TT A/F and boost gauges Bonez street/comp clutch and pressure plate Volvo FMIC The car will be mostly a street machine with occasional drags. It would be nice to not have to downshift to get some power. I'm going to put a haltech in with the turbo so engine management shouldn't be a problem. Also an inline fuel pump and a rising rate fpr. I originally was thinking of 1600cc secondaries and the stock 550cc primaries, but i was convinced to use 4x850cc. That should take care of the fuel side of the equation. I will be installing an aquamist system for h20 injection, so I should be able to run fairly high boost levels with the water injection running. SO basically I have a few questions: -Which turbo should I go with? (T04E, another T04, T-66, T-78, etc.) -Which a/r ratio should i use? -Which trim? -What would be the cost on the entire setup? -2 850cc injectors -Inline fuel pump or an in-tank unit -Rising Rate fpr -Haltech with all needed options to make this work -Turbo -Piping -All needed fittings, o-rings, etc. -Downpipe -H20 Injection kit -Tuning Time -Also anyone running a bigger turbo on an FC please post your rwhp, track times, turbo setup, and any info you think would be pertinent. Thanks, -Ryan P.S.-sorry for the long post |
