Street Porting for a 60-1

My engine builder said the exhaust ports on the 13bREW are already big enough and that he just street ports the intakes. When I was discussing this with him though it was for stock twins, now I'll have a T04E 60-1 .7 comp, 1.15 A/R divided P-Trim and going for ~450RWHP. I'm getting ribbed water passages to help cooling as he said he does it to all his race engines. So anyway, do my exhaust ports need to be ported now that my turbo is so much larger? Thanx!

i'm not an engine builder but for me it seems logical that you need a bigger exhaust port. you got a bigger turbo, wich means it floows more air-gas mixture in the chamber. so there is more exhaust and this neds a bigger exhaust. my oppinion

If you don't port the exhaust side you will regret it. My last motor all I did was an exhaust port and one of my friends had only a side port and I would beat him running 3lbs less boost. He now has an exhaust port also and he beats me running the same boost.

Remember

Remember the whole Idea of Porting your exhaust is to, Open earlier and close later. Even though the 13B REW exhaust ports are fairly large. U still need to Port.

Thank you Ito! My mechanic is Larry Scott, who usually makes NA bridgeports for rally racing, what should I ask him to do to my ports?
Thanx!

let me see..

Jedon ask your engine builder to give the rotor housings a port similar to his regular N/A street port engine. the same rules that apply for porting your N/A/ engine, applies to your turbo engine as far as porting...

I don't think I need a bridge port like his race engines :D
So is there any difference in the way you port a turbo vs NA motor?
Thanx!
