Is stock o2 sensor required (or beneficial) for single turbo? FD
Hi there, is the stock o2 sensor beneficial in any way with an FD single turbo build?
ECU is a link G4+ and I don't have a wideband. My welder friend is coming over tonight to hopefully finish off the last few things that need welding for my build. I still have the stock o2 sensor flapping around not screwed into anything and am wondering what to do with it? My quick research suggests I can get rid of it, but wanted to make sure. Sorry I don't have time to do thorough research on the subject as the welding date is tonight and I just remembered that the sensor is just hanging around so need to quickly decide what to do with it.. If i should keep it / have a bung installed, does anyone know what thread size? cheers |
Weld the bung on and use it to hold the O2 sensor for now and buy a wide band later and use the same bung.

It isn't required but you can tune the O2 feedback and get slightly better fuel economy on cruise.
