So Confused on finding turbo Size

All right...

I have been looking for a good size turbo for my project, My biggest problem is that i have had a brand new turbo looking at me for over a year now, and i still havent been able to find any good info on it. I really dont no if it is to big or just right. I really dont want to just buy another one if i can make this work.

I have been saving money and buying all my parts for my DREAM FD

Here is the specs on my motor that is getting built.

13B-REW
Full Bridge port
Race port exhaust
Front mount Greddy 3 Row IC
850cc Pir 1300cc Sec
Power FC

I want to run about 12-18psi of boost.

The car will be a non DD and will see some track time

All right now that all that is out the way, here is the specs on the turbo i have

I just want to find out the AR's for this and if the bridge port will spool this before redline :rlaugh:

If there is just no possible way to make this work the other turbo that i have a small connection on is a GT42R with a .70AR(Compressor) 1.05AR(Turbine)

After some more searching i think it is close to a GT42 see this

Name ............HP Rating......Comp Ind.....Comp Ex....Turbine Ind....Turbine Ex
GT4294R..........850 Hp............70.33.............94 ..............82.............75.23

Mine...............Unknown............63.5........ ...95.25 ..........95.25 .........80.01

Hope that comes out right, This is in MM

Anyone?

The compressor looks similar in size to a garrett gt40, but that is a pretty big hotside. For your setup it may work ok, but you'll want to run closer to 18 psi than 12. Also, consider some 1680cc secondaries, with what you're trying do to the 1300s aren't enough in my opinion.

Yea, i new that the hot side was big, just didnt no if my motor would spool it.

Change the hotside wheel something a little smaller, and you'll be in better bussiness.

Anyone know how big the GT35/40 turbo from A-spec tuning? With the new Nopi rules.....Rotaries have to be smaller than 70mm. Just wondering if I was good?

Assuming they're talking about the compressor inducer, you have nothing to worry about. You actually have room to grow, you can always talk to Sean about the upgrades available to you :)
