Do a search for harness simplification or single turbo harness. There are several threads that show how to do this.
On my car, I just left them dangling there. They aren't hurting anything heh heh.
i wanted to clean it up lil bit
I'm keeping mine stock because you never who'll want i later on if you decide to ditch the harness and you might as well keep it stock just in case.
car will never go back to stock
True but you might switch ECU's and don't need the stock wiring harness. Someone might want to pick it up but only stock and with the way prices of harnesses going it would be good to keep it the way it is.
just cut them off and retape the harness, thats what i did, it cleaned it up a whole lot
thanks
thats all i wanted to know i am just going to cut them off and retape the harness |
let me know how the rx7 turbo kit works out for ya! would like to know myself.
every one say that they are really good and responsive
like to4s used in feed car gt35r is same thing make same power right now i am just seting it up to drive around before summer is over the rest of the mods coming this winter... with 4x850cc v mount intercooler at like 13 pis should be around 350rwhp maybe lil bit over if injecters can handle more... but that is it for now same turbo gt35r my friend made 430 at 17 psi 93 octane and more with 104 octane and more boost dont remember what he got i would say around 480-500 |
the t04s is super resposive in my opinion, it almost feels like non seq twins. i hit 18 psi somewhere around 3700ish rpm,
love that turbo |
i just removed my double throttle.... should i go and eliminate coolant line #1.....like in the pic below
What about #2 and #3 #2 it also removed out of this pic but that screw was pushing up on some thing http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/9...90105large.jpg |
Will this set up be able to pass emissions sniff test?
i was goin to do the same thing but i was told i would have hot (or cold i dont remember?) starting problems... i could be wrong tho
Good luck with your conversion. I have the same kit from rx7store. It took awhile to come in and the turbo manifold had to be modified to fit, but i couldn't be happier with it. I will let you know my numbers after i get my tune sometime this week. :icon_tup:
yeah good luck with the turbo im anchious to see how much power you can pull out of that thing.
Jut to let you know when you go single theres alot of the wires from the engine harness that youll never use so i would advise you to make a custom one and just start cutting off the ones you dont need. otherwise when you look at your engine bay youll just see wires hanging around thinking someone unplugged something |
Getting on the dyno tomorrow. Feels great as it is now running 12psi.
I made 374whp & 304ft/lbs at 15psi on a dynapack dyno today. I actually ended up talking to Jason while it was getting tuned and he said it would be about 410-415whp on a dynojet. How is your progress coming?
i am still running lil behind on the conversion....her is a pis to show how far i got...
http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/178...0908072058.jpg turbo kit from rx7stor is not perfect but its good inaf ...some things needed to be modified i had to mess around with downpipe and exhaust manifold...to get it fo fit right... http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/870...0908072026.jpg |
