Single + 2? ^-^

I know this is a singles only forum and all. But heck there is no dual or tri so what am I to do? Was just wondering, but since the tri 20B is possible, how come I rarely see anybody do it? besides the fact that it isn't cost effective. Can't you shove 3 T-78's on that puppy or anything? Or is lag a major issue here? Actually what factors are important to consider here...guess that about sums it up. Shouldn't be be much of a problem for you Rotorheads to answer :).

I believe the reason why you see no one doing it is, a. not many people on the forum have 20b's b. tri-turbo is complicated to fit into an engine bay. So alot of people just say screw it and go with one big single. Dual turbo would a little easier than tri-turbo to setup I think, but still alot of engineering involved in making the manifold, and getting it to fit, etc. I think turbostreetfighter was working on a dual turbo set up using 2 20g turbos for 13b's though.

Hmm I guess that makes sense. But assuming that it is possible, what kind of power output are we tlaking about here? And also if you could put any 3 turbos that you wanted (guaranteeing that it would fit in the bay) whoch ones would they be?

First, go do your homework on turbo - you got no clue on what works and what doesn't.&nbsp Trying to fit the biggest turbo you can get your hands on isn't going to work.

Trying to get the plumbing down for 3 turbos with a 20B is a nightmare.&nbsp See the pics in another thread for the Axia FD.&nbsp The one big problem is that the lowest turbo is positioned way too low for proper gravity drain of the oil outlet from the CHRA; what does this mean?&nbsp That turbo is either going to smoke or blow up due to insufficient drain.&nbsp Unless you drop BIG BUCKS for a custom sump drain from the turbos, the design is super tricky to install.

Two turbos on a 20B is not bad, but 3 is not easy to pull-off...
