should I switch from N1 to RB single exhaust?

Even after adding the borla XR-1 race muffler in my mp, my car is still too loud without the silencer in my n1 single. I am seriously considering switching to a racing beat exhaust to tone down the noise level. I have an Apex'i rx6 kit, can someone please go over the pros and cons other than saying you'll lose power but have reduced noies type of thing? Will switching to the Racing Beat setup increase my backpressure levels? Any knowledgeable input is greatly appreciated.

if you ever decide to switch, il take you N1..i was gonna buy it when it was for sale but then you decided to keep it and put the borla in your mp. well if its for sale let me know..unseen128@aol.com

I just got rid of my n1 dual and went with the m2 dual, basically the same as the racing beat dual. You won't regret it, sounds so much better and much less noise. I have a midpipe with no race mufflers, and its very streetable. I expected it to be much louder with a midpipe than it is. I haven't really felt any power loss on my butt dyno, however I am able to go higher in the rpms on the street now, since all the noise is gone, so its made it a lot more fun to zip around town.

Is your wastegate routed back into the exhaust system???
Anyways, you won't lose much if any power with the RB exhaust its a great exhaust that sounds good at WOT, and looks almost stock.

I still have my wategate dumping into the atmostphere. If i'm on it that hard after 4k, it might as well be loud and scary.

sounds good, but what about backpressure levels??? will going to a more free flowing exhaust to a less free flowing exhaust increase my backpressure levels?? That's my primary concern right now

Let me put it this way, I don't think the back pressure levels will be any worse then if you were driving around with your silencer in.

I doubt it makes more than a few hp difference if anything. There's no reason to run a loud apex exhaust with practically no muffling. If you're really concerned with restriction, get a greddy sp. Thats what I run on my car. Its alot quiter than most exhausts, but a bit louder than the racing beats. If t&r runs it on their 10 second race car, its plenty good for me.
