S4 t2 half bridge turbo
Hey guys I'm looking for some support here in deciding which turbo would be best for my build. As stated I have a s4 t2 with s5 internals with a bridge port on the secondaries and street port on the primary. So I'm looking to make 400-500hp and I'm counting on a Borg Warner sxe series to get me there. I only plan on turning 8k rpm with this engine and yes I'm aware that it won't get all the power that it's capable of at that rpm. With that being said there are a lot of options with these turbos. Any help with sizing and a/r would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Would this turbo you suggested the 13009097056 also be best suited to a 13b-rew fd motor with a half bridge. looking for the best response and midrange/ best suited for this engine.
im thinking about jumping on your group buy for the ewg manifold, but may also consider your iwg design. thanks for your input.

Surprisingly we have made good power on with the iwg system on half bridge engines. So have others with our kit. I believe its a little misleading if trying to compare psi between setups. The halfbridge has a much higher VE and makes more power at the same psi, however its using a lot more of the wheels airflow. So you will max a turbo out much sooner. Also you wont see 30 psi by 3400rpms, but you will see similar low end power( compared to smaller ports).
If using pump gas only I would go ewg.

Turbo selection really doesnt matter that much between an fc and fd engine. Fc is a little lazier if its an s4( lower comp rotors and heavier mass). The s4 and s5 make a little less power than the fd engine.
