Locked dizzy--what is it set to?
|
That turbo spool sounds great!
|
With only 4xx hp I can lift the wheels off the ground 1st and 2nd on my 81 starlet at the drag strip.
The car must feel strong in the street if it hooks? |
Good shit man. I sold u an old T2 scattershield a long time ago. Good to see the car is running. Keep it up. Sounds great!!
|
the distributor is locked and set at 12 and running a 12 split and running br10egb , scattershield is on the car but i have to trim is hiiting the 4" downpipe and steering , and i havent made it the track yet but as soon it hits boost it sits you back , im sure i can pull more horse power out of it but im pretty happy with where is at should be enought to pull a descent time
|
Congratulations! We are pretty closely matched except I have a 650DP on pump gas.
Sounds real good. |
CONGRATS on the numbers!!!
The turbo spool does sounds GREAT  |
thank you , armyofone exactly what is your set up , i used to run a 650 dp but i move to a 750 annular boosters becouse of the way fuel is being sprayed
|
Way to go Julio, sound great, lets take it to the track.

Not bad for a lil blowthru project , all this was done at my one car garage , from engine to rear end , funny how you don't need all that fancy computer tech or tuner. To pull some descent power out of a rotary, I always believed in stick with what u know |

sounds good bro

very nice #'s.. who boost prepped the holley? CSU carburetors even offer a boost reference power vale for the holley, and some other cool stuff. check them out..
|
Armyofone , I also drive the starlet in the street , i drove to the dyno And is about 40 minutes away , your set up is almost the same as mine. I'm also running a crutch set up. Running a small pump to open my secondaries power valve. pvcr is drilled to .094 , And running a adjustable switch on the hat . 1/2 in fuel lines and a Weldon fuel pump . The difference is that I'm running e85 And. U need annular booster to deliver that much fuel.
The carburetor started as a blowthru demon 650 but I changed to e85 and changed the center section to a proform 750 annular and then did all modification to convert to a crutch system wich lets u control when u want the power valves to open |
nice work on the car.
i'd still be a little weary of the jetting though, i saw the wideband spike to 14.1 under full boost at one point but it could just be the placement of the sensor or the calibration. the saying stick with what you know always works best, i'm sure there's more left on the table but not like it is needed just yet. |
Engine sounds great Julio, You've came a long way with the car.
|
thanks jose , ben the wideband in the car was given to me by a friend but i think the o2 sensor its acting up , the paper from the dyno showed mid to low 12s afr all across
|
Nice setup, thanks for sharing that info Julio.
|
sweet project. Ive always enjoyed rotary starlets. Someday I would like to do the same
|
Very nice Julio
