hp goals?

SleeperRx 09-29-05 02:48 PM

Yes knowing your hp goal is good to know. For a budget setup (lol...-->budget), I would say stick with a hks manifold and might as well go with an hks wastegate. Rule of thumb is get the biggest "wastegate" you can afford. Unfortunately they get pricey and you should be fine with a 40 mm.

As for a turbo, go with a 60-1 compressor wheel, p-trim turbine wheel, .96 a/r and just cap it off with the T04S compressor housing. Get a v-band and run 3 inch exhaust.

Since you have haltech, go ahead and just get some 1600cc injectors for secondarys, walbro fuel pump should be fine, and you could even get a an aftermartket FPR if budget allows (lol). I think you'll be more than satisfied with this amount of power on the street as well as the track.

Remember you don't necessarily have to run a "turbonetics turbocharger." That is just company name and sometimes customer service can be crap with them. Pretty much this is all Garrett based turbo's anyways and their are many places to get turbo for a cheaper price (Precision, cheapturbo.com, etc.).

In my opinion, this is a nice setup for bout 370-400 wheel horsepower. If you want to step up the power a bit, then you should probably consider getting a GT35R if not then a T66 (lol...this is where it gets fun!!!!).
