Removing twin turbo set-up
 

I dont know if this is the section to post my question but here it goes.I'm going single turbo and i know that i no longer need the rats nest and im going to run a power fc.So my question is what do i do with all the plug that are left over?Or do i have to keep the rats nest with a power fc?If anyone has any pics on how theirs looked after you were done removing all that stuff.

There's probably other options as well. Try searching for "removing rats next connectors" If you have something like a Microtech, or another stand alone that comes with it's own wiring harness, you don't have to cut anything, since the factory engine harness is removed, and replaced with the wiring harness that came/comes with the stand alone.

i didnt cut any connectors i just left them under the intake manifold, and just so you know unless you get an aftermarket fpr you cant eliminate the entire nest theres 3 solenoids that have to stay

what 3 solonoids need to stay? there is only one that the stock fpr uses IIRC

you need ZERO solenoids. simply hook the FPR up to the manifold for a better source.

also, you live in CA. . . are you sure you can get away with all this???? single turbos pass emissions out there???

if you can get away with all this. . . the powerfc is setup to not give a half damn about anything emissions. take it all out. . . the only solenoid you need is. . . none of them. going single means youll have another source for boost control im HOPING, so you really, honestly, truthfully dont need any of them.

Do ya'll just cut the connectors off, and leave the wires laying around?! I'm glad I went with a Microtech. It comes with it's own wiring harness, and really cleans things up!

ok... where do you put it into the manifold? I was going by Crispy's vac diagram using the fpr one? Im in the process of finishing up my single and am getting such conflicting responses on how to hook up my vac lines....

Thanks guys for all the usefull information, it's very helpfull.Yes, i am going with an aftermarket fpr.No, there's no way i can pass smog with my set-up but even before i had to pay for it to pass.
