Kurgan, got one of those graphs with a torque curve on it? 3rd gear, or 4th gear run?

damn...not bad for 15psi. how much does a t-60 hifi usually go for?
|
That dyno is from Brian Cain (BDC)'s car. thats the only one I have of it though... it was at 17 psi...
A 60-1 can be had easily for less than $800 |
The run was actually done between 13 and 17psi w/ a 60-1 HIFI on a 0.96 A/R P-Trim turbine. I had erratic and shaky boost (I wish I had the old datalogs) per my boost controller setup utilizing only the side port instead of both. I was using an old HKS EVC I at the time but have since switched to a GReddy PROfec B that holds steady boost. In all actuality, I think I was sitting around 13psi; I cut the throttle off at 7600rpm. As you can tell, I still had plenty of room left. That turbo is a good turbocharger for the 13B. I highly recommend it.

I have really been thinking about going with a T60-1 on a TII with a .96 and Ptrim. What were the spool up times like? Did it seem moderate or slugish? 420 hp is nice numbers.
Would the HIFI spool quicker with overall less ponys? 420 is nice but I'm going to start breaking shit alot on a TII drivetrain. |
what would be the best specs for a 60-1 hi fi. im getting one soon but im not sure of the specs.

Get a 1.15 divided hot side, .70 intake side, p-trim exhaust wheel. You'll also need a divided manifold. Mine is just oil cooled, but you can also choose a wet setup. Its not worth it to spring for the ball bearing option. I had turbonetics polish the compressor housing as well, makes the engine bay look a bazillion times nicer.
all of these are my opinions, obviously. |
