question about turbonetics single turbo

so i'm shopping for a decent sized single turbo, and i've found a turbonetics t-62 for a decent price and i was wondering if anyone has anything to say about these? if they run decent and perform well. its a decent size so i'm hoping to make a good amount of horsepower. let me know thanks.

Capable of 400-450 on pump fuel with full spool occuring in the 4000-4500 rpm range depending on exhaust trim, porting configuration, etc.

i know with this kit a fuel system and computer is mandatory, i was thinking about getting a fuel kit from rotary extreme, and a power fc, i know nothing about single turbos i've only had a few stock turbos and my 99 spec everyone says the lag with singles is a bit of a bummer but when will i ever be driving under 4500rpms? do you think this turbo is a good buy?

i am not shure about the t62 but is 500 capable with raca gas ? all in all not bad single choice should spool decent though

I mis-spoke. I saw T-62 and thought 62-1. Different animals. Sorry.

It has to be a 62-1...great street turbo. T series starts with the t66.

Wow, That is impressive! I have a newly built portet motor and decided to buy the Turbonetics 62-1.
The reason I went with this was the cost and according to the compressor map should match good with with the rotary.
No numbers yet, but hopefully Steve can get me around 430 whp on pump and at 17pounds in May.

Busted7...Any idea at what RPM's you get 12 psi at? Just curious to know. Thanks

55oo rpm was running on 10ld spring as boost controller wasnt working. So boost creep was were it hit 12 lbs. Boost was all over the place but it still had pretty smooth hp curve. Controller will be fixed and 14.2 spring is on the way. Good luck!

You need to figure out exactly which one it is first, lol. Also, you may want to consider asking a professional about this rather than spending a lot of money based on remarks from the internet peanut gallery.
