I see what your saying but it still looks like realigning the scale like that is going to alter his hp figures.

The tq curve should never be adjusted, the hp curve is just a calculation based off of his tq curve. No matter where on the tq curve you run the calculation the hp numbers are way off

example start off on the beginning he is making roughly 50tq at 3000rpms, that equates to 28.5 RWHP and the graph is showing about 128rwhp. If you move that rwhp line down so that it starts at 28.5 the lines do cross at approx 5252. The only problem is that the hp readings wont line up with the number it needs to be. Its like they have the hp line wrong as well as the numbers on the side wrong. Look at the max tq of 328.8.......show me where the line gets any higher than 312? The numbers on the side of the page dont match up with the graph. If I were you I'd get them to redo it, if they can.

Maybe I'm all mixed up, if so someone please correct me. I'm not used to looking at dyno charts that are not aligned.

Here is the chart in question......

Two problems here: 1) You've mixed up the power and torque curves, and 2) The torque number comes from the right side of the chart.

At 3000, torque is about 110 ft-lbs (the darker trace). Plug this into HP = Tq * RPM / 5252, and you get 62 hp, which is what the graph shows using the scale on the left side.

Here is my latest Dyno with only minor changes to timing.

This is on a FC3S with Knight Sports High Flow turbine. Power FC, Trust FMIC, 720CC secondaries

I will follow up with the data sheet that came with the graph.

Here is the Data sheet!!

Anyone with a T66 dyno sheet ?.

Dyno Run

Here's a dyno I did a few weeks ago. I had my purple computer on low. I got a bunch of others too, on medium, and high:)

LUV94RX7 07-04-02 12:45 AM

571 rwhp with purple on low(11psi) I'd like to see that configuration. Looks like a big single, no power till 4.5k+ rpms.

Nitrous oxide is your friend.

HWO 07-04-02 04:54 AM

i wanna see some dyon sheets from guys with hyrbids on FC's, i think they are scared to post cause we know they dont make enough HP more to worry about in the RPM before a T04 is huffing 10psi

Seeing as everyone seems to be interested in all types of turbo and not just megga power runs here is mine.
TO4B 0.6A/R V-trim, 1.15A/R P-trim
Engine is been mildly ported, 3mm seals & water injection. Still using standard top mounted IC.

That was my GT35/40....
Only kidding:) I've been switching turbos around so I'll have some other new ones possibly today or tomorrow. Has anyone posted any high boost w/nitrous dyno sheets? Does anyone have any big turbo dyno graphs? (T78 or bigger)

HAHAHA I get the picture. But I will say that from the dyno graphs that turbo has the characteristics of a huge compressor. It actually looks larger than a 72. More like a 76 or Greddy88. But Ill let the imagination run wild :) Great Numbers:)

Thanks Greg,
Anyways that run was with a T-70 Qtrim 1.15 turbine, PFS street ported engine, center muffler, PFS catback exhaust, TEC3, PFS stock mount race intercooler, and PFS race fuel system. Hope this helps.

How do you like that Qtrim as far as spooling as compared to a P trim? How much does it hinder with the larger diamater compressor wheels?

I can't really give you a good analysis on the two different turbine wheels. I have the older style Q Trim wheel that had the weld on tip to increase the diameter.
So needless to say the tips are gone (melted off) This is the reason I switch turbos. I've had a few different single turbos the one I've liked the most so far was my T-78 with the bigger turbine housing. It seemed to flow enough air and the response was good for the power output. Don't you have a T-72 or something of that nature?

Greg 07-04-02 11:16 AM

Had T76 Qtrim. Never used it. Or got any High HP engine running for that matter :(

Hills and valleys

I love peaks, but not on my dyno sheet. Crispeed dyno has to be the best dyno sheet I've seen from a 13B. Look at the duration!!!

secretasianman 07-04-02 06:22 PM

gmonsen - way OT, but is yours the RX-7 that was featured in SCC - along the lines of "more bite than bark"? If so:
1. Nice car
2. Why didn't you enter the "Ultimate SC challenge" this year?
