Pesky Air bleed socket thingy

I was scared shitless reading post on the forums about the air bleed socket and how people tried removing them and having pieces "fall" into the engine. If you are going to attempt to remove them I strongly recommend removing the LIM to gain access to them. This will almost certainly insure that that none of the socket makes it down an intake runner and increases the likelihood that the socket makes it out in one piece.

After seeing a post in those threads i was inspired to make an extraction tool. As you can see it's just a metal hanger cut and 180'd. It worked great for the primary fuel sockets but the secondaries wouldn't budge. I tried to avoid it but, I ended up taking off the LIM to get to the secondary air/fuel sockets. All in all this was an effective tool that got the socket out in one piece but if I had to do it again I would have taken the LIM off before fitting the turbo system.

Example of removing the secondaries... Kinda reminded me of my high school dates! Anyway hope this helps someone.

Nothing new about that idea, but glad to know you have the "knack".
