Oil restrictor needed for gt3582?
Hi Guys, I have just just received a new gt3582 turbo to replace the worn gt35/40 I had previously. As this is brand new I wondered if I still needed to use an oil restrictor on it? Used to use one with the old turbo. Thanks, Gareth |
It should not need one the fitting you screw the line on to the turbo should be small enough to act as a restrictor

I am sure there is a post some where here about it. Ball bearing turbos need one,. None ball bearing you will be fine with a 3AN fitting. Dont forget to get a big anough size drain and avoid 90° angles.

Whats your oil pressure at startup? I've had good success running them in the past on turbo Hondas. ~96psi at coldstart
