Oil restrictor needed for gt3582?

Hi Guys,

I have just just received a new gt3582 turbo to replace the worn gt35/40 I had previously.

As this is brand new I wondered if I still needed to use an oil restrictor on it?

Used to use one with the old turbo.

Thanks,
Gareth

It should not need one the fitting you screw the line on to the turbo should be small enough to act as a restrictor

I am sure there is a post some where here about it. Ball bearing turbos need one,. None ball bearing you will be fine with a 3AN fitting. Dont forget to get a big anough size drain and avoid 90° angles.

Whats your oil pressure at startup? I've had good success running them in the past on turbo Hondas. ~96psi at coldstart
