The new hks t04r speciel full turbine kit
Hi !!!
I am about to by the new t04r kit and I would like to hear from you if someone has this kit on a FD or has try one with this kit.... How many hp and how about the lag.... maybe a dyno if you have that... Thanks.... :) :) |
There is a new to4r kit? Or is he talking about the one that came out a couple of months ago. I wanna see the results on that too. Any dynos. They are proven on supra but i havent found any real info abou this turbo for our 7. so post some numbers.
Thanks Marc |
Theres a few of us out there with them, but the only other guy i know with the setup is still in peices like me.
I figure my car should be together in a few weeks. I'll let ya know once i hit the dyno. |
Ya i like that not everyone and there brother has one of these thing like the t78. How much boost you gonna push.
|
Im planning to run 14-17psi on the street and around 22 on race gas.

A TO4R turbo and T-66 is almost the same. Good for 600+ rwhp.
|
WTF good for 600 rwhp maybe on a piston motor but not a 7. I may be wtong tho.

WTF good for 600 rwhp maybe on a piston motor but not a 7. I may be wtong tho. On pump gas at 14 psi you can make 430 rwhp on the T-66. You can check out the specs on the TO4R here: http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=824 you can see the specs are similar to the T-66. |
i was getting 520 rwhp on 20psi pump gas with my old to4r

i hope this is sarcasm.

Originally posted by gmonsen soul assassin. i know what it was like when i first put in my T78 and hit it. once the boost comes on you just hang on and ride. i've gone very sedate trying to get everything smooth and reliable. the kai seems to be so damned big. i run my T78 at 17-18 (more like 18 now) and that's at the bottom of its efficiency range. but i want reliability and don't want to have to worry all the time about wheelspin in normal driving. i ran 25 psi for a couple of days once and couldn't stop the wheelspin. the first time i launched it with that much boost the front end lifted so much i thought i was in an old hemi pulling a wheelie. is the kai controllable and reasonable in normal street driving or do you always have to work at keeping the the thing together? (looking at all your various pix you must own a tire store... i've got mine now where it really pulls smoothly all the way up to 8000 rpm. no break up, no stuttering, no stumbling, no soft spots. for someone who only wants a smooth 450-500 rwhp with a "refined" feel to it, what would a kai offer me? i have looked at the innovative turbo dual ball bearing stuff and think it might offer something in better spool up and a more refined feel with the same kind of power. how is the kai at -- not that i think you spend ANY tme doing this -- "part throttle" (that's right, part throttle. go ahead try it. its ok. hehehe)? and, what EMS do you use with it? i noticed that steve o'brien went to the kai and a few other guys. i think its becoming THE big turbo and am really curious about what you think sets it apart. what its distinguishing characteristics are. thanks, gordon |
