Need Help finding this oil fitting
hey guys i have the apexi rx6 turb and i went to fix my oil leak only to discover that the an fitting is stripped. this fitting is the one that sits on top of the turbo and is connected to the oil feed lines. i tried the local shops and no one can get it because it has that wierd regulator hole in the bottom of the fitting. so i went to a apexi dealer and they said that they cannot get it and to try to call apexi. so i called apexi usa and they said that they cannot get it either because the turbo comes as a kit and they are not allowed to seperate it out. so they told me to try to find the fitting from a earl's store. which i already tried. i think it is a -4 an straight fitting. anyways apexi usa has always ben helpful in the past and they are going to call apexi japan to see if the can get the part number so i can order it through a local shop. so i thought i would put up a post to see if anybody here knows that part number so i dont have to wait for apexi to call me back.

actually its a 4 an thread on both sides. i know because i measured it. also the problem with the link you provided is the little reducer on the end. when i called summit they said they had what i wanted and then when i asked them if it had the little hole they said no. if this one has the little hole then i will be good to go. also i called holley today again and i am awaiting a call back to seee if they are going to have it. and harrison you know what they say about guys with big hands right..........they got big gloves. hurry up and sell your car so you can try to be as cool as me with your new rx7

Can you get one with the correct threads on both ends ? If yes then get it and tap threads into it for a plug. thread in a plug and drill the plug with the correct size hole . Why not ?

do you guys think that it is necessary for me to have that little reducer hole? i dont think i need it. wouldnt i want the most oil possible to flow through the turbo? or do you think that it affects the spray pattern or something?

As far as i know you do need that hole, it is called a oil restriction whole. It is posiable to "over load" the turbo seals and cause bad smoking after boost i think.
Just a guess ~Luke |
