This Is My Stuff cosmoturboneticshks

This is my turbo it is a 60-1 with a Q trim and the bigshaft option, it is undivided:( and has a .96 A/R turbine and a.70 compressor side. I am putting it on a stock 13BRE Cosmo motor. I am going to run two 35mm
wastegates because I have them and dont want to drop 500$ on a race part. Any issues with running 2 WG's? I have a Blitz twin selnoid boost cont. and only want to run 14psi of boost. I have a HKS additional inj.
controller. Will I have probs. with this twin WG setup with the Blitz controller. Oh ya the FMIC is a huge Spearco core with all 3inch SS piping. I am also running the TII wiring harness. Exhaust is 3inch SS as well.
Any HP #'s????? and can i go higher in boost if i provide the proper fuel on the stock Cosmo.?

where is your radiator?

J Oliver 05-25-03 04:19 PM

I dont use a radiator, my motor is cement filled like the V8 guys do. Works great.

What, What?

600HP CLUB 05-25-03 05:05 PM

V8 guys don't cement fill the WHOLE COOLANT SYSTEM, the cement it so the block is sturdy, they fillin where the deck is open about 2inch from the top of the cylinder walls same goes with turbo people. so the block can with stand high boost, SUPRA blocks are already stock with closed-deck so that's why they can handle so much boost.

the top is not cement in, and it's not cement it's devcon, they sell that shit on racingbeat because some people use it for seal the coolant passage for pport motors. if you cement the whole shit, hello over-heat. don't do it, rotaries don't need it! we can handle much PSI already!

and most devcon users are DRAG RACE PURPOSE, not daily driven, adcept my friends d16 hehe (honda boys):o:

Yea i didn't think the whole thing was filled LOL!

Not sure how you were going to operate the additional injectors but I know my controller has no fuel cut.
I had problems with useing a additional injector controller. I had SDS controlle four 680cc injectors and had a additonal injector controller controll two 550cc injectors. I had the SDS cut fuel at 23psi but did not think about the additional injectors would still operate above the 23psi fuel cut. You can guess what happened to my motor when the boost did go to 23psi. Leaned out when the SDS injectors shut down at 23psi and the motor was still trying to run on two 550cc injectors. I cracked the rear plate, rear housing, one two peice apex seal down the middle and 3 corner seals.
I now have the SDS controll all my injectors. Now when the boost cut kicks in all my fuel is shut down, much better.
I chalk this up as a live and learn thing for me.

Wow, spendy lesson!
kind of on topic, why fuel cut instead of ign cut?

SDS only controlls fuel on my set up. There are people out of south Florida that modified a SDS system to run fuel and ignition on a rotoary, it is a crazy set up they are useing but from what I have heard it works fine. Bought my system from the guys in canada. I am running the stock 83 ignition with only the mechanical advance. Did not want to buy two ignition boxes to cut the spark.

I guess what I meant to ask was what is better for us boosted guys, ign cut or fuel cut?

Turblown 06-08-03 04:45 PM

I would imagine ignition cut...
