My new turbo pt67rs (same as t04z)
 
pt61 wasn't flowing enough up top. I was getting boost trail off pretty bad (18psi to 15psi) until I moved boost control to my wolf and configured a map for the solenoid duty cycle. This is what the fedex man just brought me:

pt6776rs dual ball bearing (400-1551) with S cover
inducer: 67mm
exducer: 84mm

Turbine: P trim .81 a/r tang/undiv

This is essentially the same as the t04z, except they don't seem to be available with that size turbine housing in the undivided form. Also, no funny looking anti surge housing.

I've been using the HKS cast manifold for a while now. I think I'm going to hog out the ports so they match up properly.

Oh, and because it was in my camera.. someone sabotaged my friends car and filled his fuel tank with water and it sat for a while seizing a pump. This is what happened when it leaned out. No other damage

Nice turbo, Rob. Make sure you match the inlet ports on that HKS log mani' with the output off the exhaust sleeves. I believe due to some machining for flattening the engine-side flange, enough iron is ground off that the inner diameter of the inlet ports going to the two exhaust runners wind up being skinnier than that of the ID of the exhaust sleeves. Bryan at BNR turned me on to that. I spent about 20-30min with an aluminum oxide grinding stone widening the ID out at the entrance of the runners and it made a pretty substantial difference in terms of boost thresshold and aggressiveness.

oh man you used a stone? I ported a rotor housing out with a stone once. I don't have that kind of patience to do that again (was late at night, couldn't fire up the air for my die grinder). I can't imagine cutting that much metal out of that manifold with a stone.

well using stone on aluminum would be a lot worse than iron.. but still, that would suck. Definitely put a nice radius on the inlet to the manifold to transition from the exhaust ports.

its only about 1/8th inch of an overhang, maybe 3/16ths

what engine/port config and how much power did you end up making at whatever pressure ratio?

man iam on stock ports have not yet dynoed iam running 10 psi......on haltec e6k. The only thing i can compare with power is..... i rape modded ls1's all day!!!
