My FD Ran 10.36 @ 136 ***Video***

Again, with horrible driving on my part.

I ran two 14 sec passes, a 12 sec pass, a 11.47 pass, a 11.00 pass and finally the 10.36 pass.

Car has alot more in it, I just need to drive it.

wow, very nice! A little quicker on the take off and you should be in the way lower 10's if not high 9's. Good job man.

That last run I trapped 100 in the 1/8th. Earlier when I ran the 12 sec pass, I trapped 113 mph in the 1/8th.

Do the math

Wow! That is a very quick time.

Out of couriousity, what is your final drive on your rear end? I wonder how different would the trap speed be with 3.90, 4.10, 4.30 gears, and how it correlates with the ET

He always loves to see rotaries run. You didn't hear everything he said, the video stopped and started.

He said something about the BADDEST IMPORT IN THE MIDWEST and then FASTEST IMPORT IN GATEWAY HISTORY!!

funny guy!

Hey Eric!
Congratulations.
I don't know what you're complaining about.
You did very good for your first time out not to mention you took home 1st place.
You just need a litlle more seat time.

I know, I just expected to go out and run a 9 sec pass and come home with a smile on my face

After my first two runs, I was ready to pack it up and go home. Everytime I punched it in 3rd gear the tires would break loose and the car would get squirrly. I didn't know what was wrong, after some advice from Espn's Bret Kepner. He said that everytime I shifted my arm would jerk down on the steering wheel thus causing me to get out of the groove and then the tires would blow away. He told me to keep my steering wheel at 12 oclock and stop jerkin! Well, I did this and it fixed my problem and kept the car straight.

Anyhow, the car really feels fast. I have problems with the 2 Step, it's hooked up to the clutch pedal and it's hard to get my foot completely off the clutch while racing it so the damn step stays engaged while racing........ you can here it popping and cracking throughout the run.......

hitting the brakes on the big end doesn't help either

I'm a lost cause I tell you........

cris

Another problem, I had a big problem with shifting too early or way too late so I bought a shift light to tell me when. I thought this would fix my problem.......... Well it didn't. While I'm racing, I'm like a deer in headlights. I don't even pay attention to that stupid shiftlight and caught myself shifting at like 7K.

come race this thing for me.

Eric,

Congrats on another good run bro!! Once you get these few issues sorted out you'll be in the low 10's easily if not faster! Keep at it.

Yeah, we have night racing on tuesday, wednesday, friday and saturday. We also have Midnight Madness once a month. That's racing that starts at 10pm and ends at 4am. It's pretty much a zoo, though.
