My 1995 RX-7 Build
Greetings,
This will be a two (2) part thread. The first part will be pictures on how the build is coming as well as helping me understand what i should do next. I've just started so there is not much to look at, but as thing come along I’ll update this thread. I'm hoping to have it complete by June 2010. I'm in no rush, just taking my time. This is my first time working on a rotory engine. I've got most of the big stuff off. As i look at the vaccum hoses everywhere, i pretty sure i will not need them. I assume i should invest in a set of Block off plates. OP,
Asking what goes and what stays is NOT the way to get started. Even though this is your first rotary, I would hope that you spent some time reading on the twins to single conversion. Lots of info out there. You just need to read it. After you have tried to help yourself (with the "search" function and lots of reading), then post a question. Good luck |

What goes and what stays depends on what you're trying to accomplish. With a single turbo you can toss a lot of stuff. If you're keeping the twins you'll want to keep most of it.

I'm going to assume you your going single if that's the case and emissions is not a issue just about everything can go. Basically leaving only coils and fuel injection.

You will find that there are a lot of helpful people on this forum...provided you have done the research and attempted to troubleshoot the issue yourself prior to posting a question. What I don't appreciate, and I am sure some feel the same way, is people randomly posting questions when the answer would have been solved with a simple search and some reading. Some people (not saying you) expect to be "spoon fed" the information vice putting in some time and energy into solving the problem themselves. After all, this car is 15+ years old and I would imagine that most things have been done or tried previously... Good luck. |

very good approach to have... at the same time, if a decision seems risky.. please ask before you make a fatal error. Better safe than sorry.

why do yo have the oil return lines for the stock twins on, you won't need them.
