moving to single turbo, sizing ?

I've picked up a 13B RE for my FC, not using the sequencial TT with it but rather a single turbo.. looking for some ideas of what you single turbo REW guys are using in terms of trim sizes.. I've got a few turbos sitting in the shop right now, a T04B, a T03a with a 73/80 AR and a TO3b with the regular 45/60 AR. the last I would think , given the volume of flow, would over spool by 6000 rpm .. and the T04b is massive but it's also a split inlet on the turbine side..

thanks for the help

oh and I've asked my Japannese engine supplier to see about importing me a 96+ right hand drive FD.. anyone have one of these in NA ? ( this may be cut into two pc, as 'clips' and shipped over..) this is still something they are looking into so no confirmation yet.. but hell they shipped over a GTR 34 and a 96 integra typeR like this ( one pc!!)

The TO4B would be the way to go depending on the specs. All the others I would think would be too small.

.. found out some more about it.. I have the feeling that the turbine AR is going to be WAY too big.. it's a T04b 1.15 turbine/ .60 compressor.. obviously i won't overspool and I'll have tonnes of turbo torque.. but i don't think I'm going to get the cfm flow I need from a .60 trim.

what kind of numbers have people made with the various TO4 trim levels??

.60 comp is too small for a rotary. Upgrade it to a .70 comp to acheive the cfm ur looking for.

I have a TO4S, .60 cover, .81 hot side, full boost is basicly instant, and it pulls hard through 9000 rpm. Mash the pedal from 1200rpm, and the 235-40-17 RA1s spin instantly, or if you actually want to go somewhere;) you can wait til 3500rpm, and then it only spins a little, and changes one lane to the left:D .60 is not too small, depending on what your goals are. 0.6 wouldn't be too small if the compressor wheel is decently sized.

I've got @ a 2.5" impeller opening ..

I've also got this big .83/.60 T03A that came off a callaway TT vette.. it's a toss up between low end and overspool or higher end and maybe under CFM at high HP... grr. and these cosmo RE's flow lots don't they..

look on either this page of posts, or maybe even the second page.. I posted a whole thread on sizing the turbo and what I came up with. Unfortunately, it's a Greddy turbo that is listed in their catalog but according to everyone, isn't available.
