Miss firing
I have been having a misfire issue with my car, at 30psi it will misfire at both 6000 and 7000rpm and 7500rpm constantly when in fourthe gear. When the boost is dropped to 20-22psi it will sometimes missfire and then the next pull evrything is fine. Is this an ignition problem?? I am running an lt-10 with the x4 ignitor box.
Any suggestions? |
dang, everyone is running 30 lbs of boost these days

is this on a dyno or the street? if on a dyno try freeing up the load a bit and see if it still happens.

ya if voltage is dropping that will definitely cause breakup.

What kind of ignition signal noise level do you have? What heat range plugs are you using? Type of coils? Any CDI box?

It's strange because originaly everything was fine and the car made 654whp, but on the ride home it started to shit it's pants with ignition.............
not sure on the iginiton noise level? Originaly I was using the ngk race plugs, when the problem started all the coils were replaced, (using the t2 coils) put in a 10.5 snowmobile plug with a 5mm gap and The x4 ignitor box was replaced and rewired, voltage is right around 15.4 volts. Problem still persists, I was told to run the motec because it would hold 16volts. I'm not sure what to do?? |
