Microtech LT10s or Power FC?
 

Hay guys,

I own a power FC so know a bit about them but have no experience with the Microtech LT10s. Which is better for a 13B single turbo and why?

Also taking into account that I have FC Datalogit which makes the Power FC very easy to use.

depends on what the tuner is capable of. IMO if you are self-tuning, go with Power FC because there is a lot of information about it (although it has less features than the Microtech).

I thought Microtechs still don't let you save maps to a laptop?! If that is still true, I don't think I could ever own one.

look where he is from. I bet microtech tuners are a dime a dozen :) arghx is right, go with what the tuner knows. Microtech and power fc are both proven EMS but if your tuner doesn't know or is unfamiliar with the one that you put in your car than it's kind of pointless what features it has if he can't utilize them.

Tuners arent a problem. We have HEEPS of options, all know both Power FCs and Microtechs well.

Does anyone know if the tuning software for the microtech is available to the public and are the maps generaly locked?

I dont want to end up with a ECU thats been tuned that I cant touch myself.

Also Ive had a look over the feature list and saw the hard and soft rev limit. Does this mean fuel and ignition? ie safer then the power FC? Also see they have built in launch control.

I cant seem to find a lot on info on the Microtech....and ideas where to look?

You can tune the Microtech. It comes with downloadable software. However, you will need to purchase their link device at approx $150, when I bought mine 4 years ago.

If its for an FD get the power fc. anything else get the microtech.

Also can anyone answer the question about the microtech rev limit. Is it fuel or ignition cut?

your best bet is to go to the ems subsection. There is plenty of info there.

It dosnt have launch control. And its a fuel cut.

To put any computer but a plug in on a fd is a butcher job which ever way you look at it.
