have you guys seen these manifolds that are for the stock hitachi flange?

the runners look a bit longer than the stock log manifold

do u guys think i would actually see a difference from the stock manifold to this?

Not a bad idea. I was considering that and ceramic coating it, but I have a perfectly crack free s4 manifold

If you did get that. I would think that it might be a good idea to add some bracing since it is SS Autochrome and it does uspport all of the turbos weight, seems to be good for the big boy manifolds, but those are longer runner lengths and bigger turbos.

Have you seen the stock replacement manifold that RX3mist.com makes. They look quite a bit better than the SSAC ones, with the exception that you would have to use a custom DP.

Those look to be made as you order and not just specifically for stock turbo, wondering if they just used the stock turbo because it was already there........



nice setup though, wonder if it clears airpump.....

that manifold would be good if you were to lazy to cut out the twin scroll system. Other than that I dont see any gains.

I personally deleted twin scroll system and port match the runners, and over all spooled better :)

The stock Manifold is quite good and strong.

i hate all that extra crap on the s4 manifold and turbo...

because ive been told that twinscroll helps with spool, and then some people say the opposite.


i have a s4 h-trim hybrid that i have to hog the wastegate out on and already has the twin scroll wired open, maybe i should just remove it......

Well if twin scroll system is working correctly, yes it will help spool much better.

But as I had a 3'' exhaust I had no problem spooling the stock turbo. Plus the twin scroll wouldnt hold correctly ( would open then start to bounce , long story )

So with twin scroll system I have 6 psi at about 3200 rpm ,

once matched and Twin scroll deleted. I was seeing 6 psi at 2700 and help boost better than with ( it would have some jumps before ).

Now mind you this is with a not 100 % twin scroll system.

And also when doing twin scroll swap, DO not weld shut the little hole left as it will blow out after a while ( or get it welded by a VERY good pro ) .

But way easier and cheaper is to tap it and put a NPT plug.

I upgraded my turbo, and when I went to remove my twin scroll I noticed I had some MAJOR cracks...meaning soon I'll be needing a new mani..might as well get this one or something other than stock. Mine is cracked to hell lol..

Oh and with the twin scroll hooked up and on my stock turbo with 3" turbo back and a straighter intake pipe I saw 12 psi @ 2,500 rpm or sooner :)

Yeah, Node, tell him what motor and what turbo you want to use and he will make it.

And also somone commented on strength. I believe that this manfiold from RX3mist is SS with a ceramic coating (not sure I read that from another post) and the SSAC is SS also, I don't think either one will fail with a stock or hybrid turbo.

I like the RX3 Mist one cuz it's well priced and will let me put a t04e on my 6 port :)

I like the RX3mist one, but I'd have to find someone to make me a custom downpipe that I can bolt up to my turbo...Looks like I'm going to be the first of my friends to test out the SSAC one since I'm tight on money right now...if it breaks I'll accept my losses and save up for a good one :dunno:
