losing fuel pressure after 5000 rpm and now car won't start
 

While I was getting my car tuned (Series 5 FC3S) we found that the fuel pressure drops from 45 psi all the way down to 0 after 5000 RPM. I decided to take a look at the fuel pump (walbro 255 lph), but couldn't find any issues other than the end of the hard feed line hadn't been cut and replaced by a rubber hose (I guess this method is favoured by most people). I had to order a piece of submersable fuel hose and while I was waiting, I left the fuel pump assembly on a rag in the trunk. Once the hose arrived I installed it and put the fuel pump back into the fuel tank.

After all of this, I tried to start the car and all I got was a few sputters and a big back fire. I tried again and the same thing happened. On the third try all I got was the engine cranking. I figured that the engine was flooded, so I pulled the EGI fuse and unplugged my fuel pump and then pulled all 4 plugs. They were soaked!! When I pulled leading plug #2 I actually heard liquid leak from the engine and hit the driveway!! I put the throttle to the floor and cranked the engine over for about 15 - 20 sec. I could see all the fuel vapor comming out the the engine bay, but it didn't go away, it just kept coming!! I cranked the engine again....still more fuel. A third time......still more fuel!! I cranked it a fourth time and decided to try to start it again. I had some spare plugs since I'm sure the other ones are fouled and I put some 20W 50 in the 2 lower spark plug holes. Once everything was back together, I tried to start the car and there was no change!!! Just the engine turning over and over.

Is there a different way to unflood an engine when you are using a Haltech (I have an E6K)? While the fuel pump was out of the fuel tank, the tank itself was open.....is it possible that condensation got into the engine through the fuel tank?? Is that even possible and would it even make a difference????

I've got to get this thing running so I can store it before the snow hits. Any help would be great.

Im pretty sure the injectors are still firing with the egi fuses out. Turn off the injectors with the haltech, then try and unflood it.

Compression?

I hate those walbro pumps. So inconsistent.

ok first let me say that i only skimmed through your first post, second let me say that i hate being the barer of bad news.

anyway, if you were making dyno puls under boost and your fuel pressure droped to 0psi while still under boost, and now your car isn't starting, you need a motor.

and btw with a e6k you have a flud to clear feature where if you floor the gas pedal the ecu will shut off fuel flow to the motor.

do a compression test, it sounds like you leaned it out and killed it.
