Trying to reinvent the wheel is where the headaches begin.

Need help with a PowerFC? Everyone on this board can help you. Not so much for other ecu's. Anyone that suggests to a newcomer to the forum not to install a PowerFC on his FD that isn't involved in the tuning of their car, is simply giving bad advice.

I completely agree.... PFC's are excellent ecu's. I've seen ton's of fd's running 450+ on them with no problems.

However, once you jump into the realm of singles and higher horsepower there are much better options. Myself, personally, I'll be switching to a Motec (M84 or M800) this fall.

People will say that you can totally tune a PFC at well over 500whp, but the difference between the ECU's boils down to how smooth and in-depth everything is. There are many subtle inputs that the PFC just doesn't recognize, where the Motec can.

If you're on a budget the PFC is probably better suited, if you're willing to put in the cash for "quality over quantity" than I'd get a Motec (M84, M400 or M800 series) or Haltech (Platinum Sport series).

right, thanks for the input, im not trying to run anything extreme nothing more then 450whp, im fine with maybe a bit less, not many cars around here nicely tuned other then the, Honda Vtech fanatics.

i appreciate ur post

hey thewird, thanks for the input im going to stick with the powerfc anyways i got a good special, they tune it before they ship it, im going to see, around where i live if someone does good welding, i got a couple of recommendations really good reputable local shops that weld. im going to end up finding away to get someone to weld the manifold a bit longer towards the front of the car, the turbo just needs a bit more foward to fit, and its not really big like the real gt45r that thing i ginormous. its smaller way smaller.

You'll have to mod the downpipe too once you modded the manifold.
