Cool! just when I thought I've seen everything :)

FMIC size? I don't think it needs to be HUGE. I have a 91 TII -T60-1 turbo with a Spearco 27 x 8 x 4 and it works great and the radiator still is able to do its thang

ya that was my main question...is i dont want to block the air flow to my radiator and oil cooler....and i also didnt want to get a FMIC thats too wide and wont fit....i really wasnt worried about the actual size for cooling...mainly for mounting purposes....thanks parker

With a custom design like this, you are going to need to take the measurements and decide on a setup on your own. I recommend making a cardboard mock-up of an intercooler, and then checking to make sure it fits before you spend big bucks on a real intercooler. Make sure you plan for the end tanks and plumbing. If this is a street car, I wouldn't recommend a Spearco intercooler thicker than 3.5". You may want to look into staggering the various heat exchangers. Rule of thumb is 1 square inch of inlet for each 4 square inches of heat exchanger core.

BTW, your radiator doesn't exactly look like a high-performance unit. The radiator has more of an effect on engine cooling than the intercooler. ;)

nah the radiator is oem.....turbo isnt being installed until i get my 12a streetported and rebuilt.....not wasting it on this engine.....just trying to get some info and a thought on what to shop for in the coming months......also one quick question is should i stay carb'd or go FI....thats another thing ive yet to decide on....thanks parker
