how much fuel for 400-450 rwhp

I'm planning on going single and am trying to figure out how much fuel I need. I am planning to run the stock 550cc primaries with 1600cc Bosch secondaries on a K2RD custom fuel rail. What fuel pressure regulator should I use? Also, is my Cosmo fuel pump going to be enough? I read that it was tested to support 500 rwhp.

Thanks

You have enough injector flow. No need to worry there. An SX 1:1 FPR has worked great for me, I'd suggest it to anyone. Now, the fuel pump... not quite sure on that one. Thats what I'm running right now. I'm hoping it will be enough for 450 or so rwhp when I'm done (this year) with my FC. If not, I'm trying to decide on adding another pump, or going with the Aeromotive 1000hp pump. There may be other options, but those are the ones I'm considering. Personally, I don't like the fact that RP advertises their competition pump with a HP number instead of a flow number... and they say they don't know the flow number. I've heard that this pump is actually one of two OEM pumps, either a Supra TT pump, or a 20B Cosmo pump. Does anyone know for sure which one it is?

One more thing. some people may not agree with this, but I think its a good idea. You should send every one of your injectors to RC Engineering (or somewhere similar) and have them flow tested to see exactly what you are flowing. Have the primaries cleaned at that time as well, you'd might as well not take any chances with em since they are going to be gone anyhow.

I just had my 3 new 160# mopar injectors (the 1680s that everyone is using nowdays) flow tested and nearly matched at RC. The 1680cc injectors , 2 of them were able to flow 1424, and the other was able to flow 1428, which I understand is typical... I wonder what duty cycle and fuel pressure they test them at? I might be on my invoice, but its not with me right now or I'd post it.

The Cosmo stock ND fuel pump barely flows 15% over the stock FD ND fuel pump.&nbsp I doubt this is the one.

The JZA80 Supra fuel pump flows pretty well, easily supporting 500hp on their cars.&nbsp This might be the one.&nbsp There's also another option - Nissan Skyline GT-R fuel pump...

Whatever the case, I'd take a Bosch 300lph fuel pump over any of those anyday.&nbsp I trust the Bosch brand to manufacturer quality, reliable units.&nbsp These things are used in Indy Lights cars for christsakes!&nbsp You can get them as cheap as $200, if you look around.&nbsp Run the numbers, and this fuel pump runs just as well as that Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump...

Remember the 3rd GEN is not the 2nd GEN. YOU NEED A FUEL PUMP, Im just barely making fuel even with a GTR fuel pump Injectors are later, but get the fuel pump. What turbo are you going with?

Hmm the GTR Skyline pumps are supposed to be able to support like 630HP in a GTR, a mate of mine is making 580HP with a T04 on his GTR and is running the factory pump. now is the time to add to this, that i got a GTR pump for equal to a mere $60US...... i'll soon be using it to supply 4 x 800cc injectors and keep my factory pump to feed a pair of 550's

Thats what I was saying, but if he just gets bigger injectors he will have nothing to push it. BUT if he gets just the fuel pump he wont need the injectors.

Thats one hell of a GTR, does it exsist? Do people usually put TO4? R, S, E or what ever on a GTR? My bud had a T-88 on his R32 and a fully tuned engine, and was making about 700hp. Now he has a T-51 Spl and with just over 1000 and blows it up religously.
