HKS cast manifold
 

What is the most power made with a HKS cast manifold on a FD?

CarlByck is putting out plenty......
more boost more power or bigger T.

I know the greddy one 600rwhp+ which is similar no?

the fd cast hks one is the divided one.... the one ssautochrome/obx copied.

should flow plenty.... id think other parts of a setup would be choak points before that manifold ever was one.

ie.. ports, intake manifold, TB.... ect.

those ssautochrome manifolds look pretty nice, but i would like to know how fitment is and how they hold up.

There used to be a lot of problems with these manifolds. Thin flanges and thin walled piping liked to warp or crack a lot. Fitiment would not be spot on sometimes and would require boring out the holes a little bit to get the correct fit. From what I have read, these manifolds have improved drastically as of late. Thicker flanges and better fitiment. I am not sure if they moved up to a thicker tubing yet.

So no one has a real number?

basically it'll take a lot before the manifold is your limiting factor

I bought one years ago....nothing fit . Then the "New improved HOTROD headers"
Which is SS Autochrome, had flanges that were not flat and many people had to get it machined.This was the 2nd POS from them I got.
Its mass produce crap.I think more had problems then those whose fit perfect like it should.

yea buy the hks cast, or spend money on a better ss manny. though i'm sure you can get an Aspec, or gotham manifold, for much less than what hks wants for thier stainless manifold. list price is 1050, but be glad you don't have a supra, as the list for that is over 2300. don't know why though as there can't be more tubing than is in the wrx manny...

the hks cast manifold would probably handle more power than most people are capable of running. I noticed that the cast manifold is able to retain the heat better than a stainless manifold. i have a 1st gen with the cast manifold and a second gen with a custom stainless manifold with a wall thickness at 1/8" . the stainless manifold radiates so much heat. both cars are set up up the same except for the manifold. they both run good.
