High compression rotors on boosted engine

I haven't seen any recent threads on this and occasionally see a build thread where someone talks about using higher compression rotors.

Is there any detail available that shows the benefit/risk of doing this? I'm doing a rebuild on an REW and curious about it.

I used the higher compression rotors from an S4 NA on mine. The higher compression was a side effect though and not a goal. I went with those rotors because they have a more robust casting thickness, meaning they'll be less likely to get dented if I see detonation.

I had Chip lighten/balance/clearance them and they came out slightly under the FD rotor weights.

They're super peppy under the curve!!

I ran S5 NA rotors to nearly 30psi with an EFR9180. It also ran on pump 93oct and straight water injection. Never had any issues and made 540whp on 26psi. Unpinned S5 TII block with a street port.
