Help me choose injectors!
Ok so I have a collection of different size ID injectors and want to choose 6 for my setup.
Using cjm dual pump setup and 6 injector rails on Elite manifold. PFC, pump and water injection Semip motor, TDX61 turbo Injectors available are: 2x ID725 6x ID850 2x ID1300 4x ID2000 I was thinking of the 725 or 850 on the primaries And 2x 1300 for the primary runners and 2x 2000 for the secondary runners. My thinking is not overfueling the primary runners and more or less equalizing fuel flow. If this doesn't really affect anything and is a no issue then I could go 4x 2000 secondaries. Too much fuel? I'm not planning on running ethanol, just pump and water. What do you guys think? |
I don’t think you can run 6 injectors on the PFC. At least not 4 ID2000 secondaries unless you run them without being able to control them individually. Power goals? Fuel? I run 725 pri and 2000 secondary on a PFC on 93 with water meth. I have a CJ hanger with a single Walbro 485. The limiting factor is the fuel lines. They will support about 500hp. After that you need to upgrade to -8an or -10an. Stock lines are equivalent to -6an. If you plan to run E85 you will want to upgrade all the lines including the filter. The paper filter will get trashed and the lines won’t support enough flow for the E85. You also want to change the ECU as PFC doesn’t support flex fuel. And you don’t want to run E85 with a PFC as the alcohol content thru the year is inconsistent in most places (winter blend is more like E70) thats going to require a different tune without a flex fuel sensor. PFC won’t stage dual fuel pumps. So depending on power goals and fuel types your injector choices are only part of the equation. |
The PFC can run more than 4 injectors, just need to know what you're doing.
Also I'm staging the second pump with a boost switch and the stock lines are fine for my setup. Turbo will max out near the 600whp level. Pump water only. E85 is not readily available. |
2x ID1300 and 4x ID2000. Done. Time for 600whp.

If you are not flow limited best power is balanced mixture between primary and secondary runners.
