Help with 3bar map sensor *gm and pfc)

Im looking into getting a gm 3bar map sensor.. Can someone just clarify, the one banzai sells is just a gm 3bar sensor with the harness right? if i just buy a 3bar map sensor by itself i just have to hardwire it in or make a harness correct? do i have to calibrate it or anything or is it straight plug and play?

if i have to wire it, can someone provide a diagram with what wires to connect to each? and where i can buy a pig tail for it? thanks:icon_tup:

Ours is a plug and play harness, so that you do not have to worry about soldering wires or crimp connections falling apart. http://banzai-racing.com/store/3bar_...r_adapter.html

All GM 3 bars need to be set up on the PFC with a datalogit.

just buy the banzai kit. it's one less set of electrical connections to go wrong

I just did a gm 3 bar on mine.
its not hard at all if youre capable, ive seen your build thread so this should be a walk in the park for you. just snip the harness and rewire.

I also got my gm3 bar with pigtail for 90$, all i had to do was stab my pigtail with 10" of new wire. banzai wouldnt sell me the harness seperatly because they say people were using them on different 3bar sensors....etc..i dont know

you also need to rescale the pfc, and you need a datalogit to do so. 4100 offset 0. dont quote me, if you end up going this route i can check for you, or its readily avail by searching here.

That is not what was said. We do not sell the harness on its own because we got tired of dealing with tech issues from people that bought 1 bar or 2 bar sensors (or some other sensor) from forum members or ebay that were sold as 3 bar. We sell them as a set this way the buyer knows that there will not be any installation issues.

Just get the Banzai Kit, plug and play = no headaches.

lol i know...
banzai = good plug and play no headaches
muibubbles= cheap and if i can get the sensor for 50 why not do it for half? the harness is not worth $60 to me if i can save that by making my own harness... after butchering my whole cars wiring, a little sensor is the least of my worries.... i just wanted to know if there was more science behind it

can someone give me post the wiring diagram or tell me which wires connect to which? i got one used and it has the FC pig tail on it so im going to cut it and hard wire it... please help!

Cheap is all good until you get a fake sensor that fails.

Going by the dates, might be a bit late perhaps. Don't know if failure is common, but one of the Motec head honchos over here tested a lot of the not quite authentic sensors and found them somewhat non linear!

I've had a bunch of issues with sensors customers provided from unknown sources.
