help

I have a 93 rx-7 which has been rebuild and streetported and has a single turbo conversion, with full racing beat exhaust no cat and also an intake. 12Ib. alum. flywheel, FMIC, and T04 H trim compressor wheel and a Koyo radiator. I'm really not sure what the problem is.....

I have a terrible fuel cut problem it seems to cut my fuel once my boost is at about 15psi while my rpms are climating....in which results in a lot of smoke and I don't think is good for my engine. Its cutting the fuel and then dumping more back in once my boost drops back down, and continues the process up into redline in every gear....I had to down tune it with a boost controller so I am running about 5psi in 1,2,and3gear(I think) and 10psi in the higher gears. I plan to get a speed cut controller which im hoping it will help.

GReddy BCC & SCC allow the factory ECU limiters to be eliminated. These preset controllers are designed and calibrated for a specific application. The units must be wired directly into the factory ECU harness

If that doesn't help then I plan to get the e-Manage (piggy-back fuel computer) which is an inexpensive programmable fuel management system that allows you to properly tune your factory fuel system, without having to change the entire factory ECU system to an expensive "stand-alone" unit. Which taps into most factory ECU wiring and it still utilizes the existing sensors.

Any suggestions? Tips? or Comments?
Any help of any kind would be much appreciated...
-Thanks

well ur sayin u have the factory ecu... thats the prob right there... and the fuel cut should come in at around ooooh 12 psi... i think....

Yeah i asked around but no one could really tell me how much boost was the stock ECU good for...everyone gave me different numbers.
I know thats the problem but I can't really afford a stand alone fuel system so i was thinking maybe I could do something els?

The BCC/SCC alphabet soup stuff is for cars like supras with MAF where the engine can adjust the air and fuel increases properly, you need to get a standalone ecu like power FC. I wouldn't get the E-manage, you can pick up a Haltech E6K or Power FC for $900 used. Did you just have all this work done to it or did you buy it like that?

well im pretty sure its 12 psi... and well u cant really get around it....

ya the haltek is a great ecu... but i dont think it controlls the omp... meanin u gotta premix ur gas... perhaps icemaster or someone with a haltec can shed some light on this

I bought it like that.....thats what i was thinkign of getting the PowerFC I think the E-manage would be a waste of money and I don't think the fuel cut defensor woud really help.....
But thanks you've been a lot of help.
