Having trouble, could use some help

Ok, I'm not sure what is wrong, but I will try to give enough info for advice. I recently got an hks twin power and 3bar map sensor. Banzai installed the stuff and the car was running awesome for about a week. Then one morning I tried to start the car and It wouldn't turn over, until I cranked it for about a minute and it finally started and blew out a cloud of smoke. It ran strong for another day, but would blow out a little smoke on start up if it sat for a while. My boost vacuum is really good (18). The car isn't smoking at all anymore, starts right up, and it hits 1.2 on the pfc which is where it is supposed to be at. It runs smooth, but just doesn't have the power that it had last week. It feels like it lost about 50 horsepower. I didn't see any vacuum lines off.

Do you guys think I need new plugs, or have a coil out? The plugs are only 3000 miles old. If it was a boost leak wouldn't the pfc register lower.

Any advice on what to check would be appreciated. Thanks

no, it would spool slower and the turbo would work harder...since some of the boost is leaving before the the TB (since you didn't mention a change in idle); which equals hotter charge.

losing 50hp is a huge deal.

First step is to see where it is hitting max boost, and think where it use to hit.

As to why this happen?? I don't know...change the plugs, but it's not your major malfunction.

Other than the hard start the other day and a little smoke on start up, it seems like it is running fine and hitting boost at the normal time and the car sounds normal too. Well, everything is fine except for the loss in power that I feel.

Another thing I just noticed that Chris at Banzai asked me to check, but I was wrong is the fpr doesn't hold at 20. It bleeds down to zero in about one minute.

Peter
That indicates either a leaking injector or injector o-ring, both of which would cause the car to run overly rich and rob HP.

I would check the plugs first. A leaky injector will cause the car to run like crap all the time and not just the one time, plus it would idle like ass.

This is true about the plugs, but I figured you would have checked those considering it was the first thing I told you to do when you called the other day.

Chris at Banzai found that the throttle position sensor was bad, which most likely caused most my problems. There is still a small loss of fuel pressure when the car is turned off. He is going to check the fuel pump o-ring. Hopefully this will solve my problems.

I figured while I was in there, I might as well get a differential brace, and a tune up. Should be up and runnin strong very soon.
