GT35/40 vs. Innovative T04 60-1
 

how do these turbos compare GT35/40 and Innovative T04 60-1 ...... any imput

how much power can the innovative T04 60-1 dual BB on pump gas

Will you please stop whoring up this section with all these repetitive questions. Try searching the forum for answers to your questions.

If you want a nice street turbo get a t04e.

Or get a t51r and build a drag car.

But there are at least 5 or 6 of your posts on 2 pages asking" How much can this turbo make" or " Can a t04 make more power that a t66"...

Just search. All the answers to your questions are in there somewhere.

If you really need the help you can call Innovative yourself. Or, you can call a reputable shop that would know.

I have to agree with 93R1, just search man and you will find more than everything you wanted to know. I remember having all the questions you keep asking but I never had to make a thread because I found it in the mighty SEARCH. Do you even own a Rx-7 for the record?

If you look at the internals and the compressor maps of the two turbos, you will find that they are amazingly similar. The only real difference being that the GT 3540 has a T3 flange and the 60-1 has a T4 flange. My guess is they will perform equally. I like the fact that my 60-1 uses a T4 flange and I can bolt other turbos to my existing manifold if I desire since most turbo manufacturers use a T4 flange.

Heheh good luck finding a compressor map that's useful for a Garrett GT turbo.

The 60-1 is only efficient in the low boost area (up to 15psi) where the GT35/40 is more efficient in the 14psi to 20psi range. Turbonetics has a compressor map for the 60-1 turbo.

I'm giving out my opinion by the seat of the pants feel since I've owned both.

Both are good street driving turbos. For the drag strip, I would recommend T78, T88, T51R, or what not.
For the road track, it's good to use upgraded twins, 60-1, GT35 or a mid-size turbo that gains you a "useable" powerband as opposed to upper rpm power band.

I can tell the guy is dreaming about different options... but he should get the car first and have fun with the stock turbo(s). The stock FD is pretty quick and nice on the race tracks (autoX or road). If you want drag, I suggest a Turbo II.
