i think what was meant by that was to search by user name: A-Spec Tuning
or by key words: gt35/40 ;) |
search GT3540

Outstanding...
This seems like the Turbo for me and my Project "Cosmo" Kramer I understand it spools up nicely and full boost is instantly available anywhere after 3000 RPM... So, Two more important questions. 1)Does this turbo lose efficiency/output at redline? (7500rpm) 2) What is THE Lowest Price anybody has found it, and where? In a previous thread RPM said to deal with A-spec.., but now they are a sponser, so WTF? All I need is the Turbo as I am having the exhaust manifold made. Thanks! |
thanks, that was what i ment. YOu guys talk giberish too. Marc

Originally posted by daze http://www.turbofast.com.au/sales.html you can buy the turbo from the url above. although last time i talked to him, you may need to get manifolds from a-spec. i dont have to for some reason that i was already in his files before he cut a deal here in the USA...? |
price for just the turbo there (rpm) is 2300 aus.
|
watch out for customs duty when ordering from Oz.
|
good point 40oz.
i got some suspention parts for my rx2 from Oz and paid about 125 for shipping. |
shipping and duties are separate.
|
in aust. money it was 210 shipping and 60 duty.
sooooo....it was about 125. i say shipping, because that is just the way i looked at it. it "cost" me 125 to "ship it". if you would like to get technical....yes they are seperate, but it all comes out of your pocket. |
40oz....what was the breakdown of your turbo setup?
goods=? shipping=? duty=? just curious as i am going to be using them soon (rpm) for the same setup... |
Yeah definitely watch out for those damn customs charges. I bought a GT3540, Haltech, and large (very) FMIC from Tim @ RPM. His shipping charges were like $200. I thought that was it...but then THREE DAMN MONTHS after I got the stuff I get a bill from the freight company for ANOTHER $200 for duties and handling/processing fees! SUCKS!!!!!
|
How much did he say it costs on the box? customs is supose to 3.5%. Crooked bastards!!
|
200 would be about right at 3.5%.
i know the turbo (entire kit) and haltech together for me was quoted around a little under 3500 us. and 3.5% of that is $122. |
