GT 35/40 turbo vs. GT35R turbo vs. GT40R turbo

What is the difference between the GT 35/40 turbo and the GT35R turbo? I have read somewhere on this forum that they are the same thing, but I just wanted to make sure. Also, how is the GT35R turbo compared to the GT40R turbo in terms of spool speed and power output?

www.A-spec.com

35/40=35R=GT3582R

GT is the type of wheel, 35 is the turbo designation or base model number, 82 is compressor exducer "R" denotes BB CHRA.

GT40R wont spool nowhere near a 35R, power gain is minimal if when you switch to a T4 1.0 on the 35R at reasonable boost levels. Hope that helps.
