Call Blouch Turbo, they can get the replacement part you need or rebuild it for you.

My T78 was rebuilt at Majestic Turbo in TX. I'm sure they can square you away.

contacted both shops but no luck!

It isn't listed on their website anymore, but the Greddy tech support number is 949-588-8300 . Maybe they can give you a part number. They may also just refer you to one of the dealers listed on their website. Stillen happens to be one of those dealers ( 714-550-5566 ), and I've spoken to one of their guys there who seemed to know what he was talking about (forgot his name).

these are west coast time zone in California... so GMT -9 hours I think since you are in Greece. If you call them when you get home from work they should be there.
Another thing. check this out: http://www.greddy.com/products/displ...SubCategory=20 there are two different T-78 wheels, the 33D (which is also used in the small T88) and the 29D . A quick google search says that the 29D (smaller one) has a 64 mm inducer and a 90mm exducer. The 33D has a 66.5mm inducer and a 90mm exducer. You need to figure out which one you need to get. |
If you dont have any luck this week post it up, Ill get you the compressor wheel.
|
Back in the day there was a different wheel you could put in your T78 for increased hp, call Jason at the Rx7 store, I think he had this done on his old T78 turbo.

check with Brian @ BNR
|
Sorry, forgot about this thread. The RX-7 T78 is generally the 33D. Mine was rebuilt by the shop in Dallas if I remember correctly. I saw a thread not to long ago about someone else having their turbo rebuilt by them as well. Best of luck.

I dont get it, they don't even bother to call back or answer my e-mails!
My last hope rests with Jason. |
I've been through this before. You need to keep calling them. Don't leave a message and don't bother with an email. Or call the Greddy dealer I mentioned (Steve Millen/Stillen).
There is a reason why people have been buying less and less from the big Japanese aftermarket parts manufacturers (Apex'i, Greddy, HKS). Replacement parts are hard to get and service sucks. |
I can now tell you for sure that i've run out of options,Jason pointed me to Majestic turbo which couldn't help me,and i also called Steve Millens store just so they could tell me that Greddy doesn't provide parts for their turbo and i should buy a new turbo !

|
The CHRA is the center cartridge bearing section with turbine and compressor wheels. Basically, the turbo without the housings.
