Wanted to see what you guys thought on these dyno runs today?

The lowest is with the boost controller turned off (approx 0.65bar max). Setting A is the low boost and is about 0.90bar max. The high boost is about 1.15bar (about 17psi). Some race gas was used at 1.15 bar for safety. Tuner thought it would be better this way and I agree but im guessing that means without race gas it's not at this horsepower range.
Mods are: RX6b turbo, apexi wastegate, street port, 550/1600 inj, PFC, motor just rebuilt before tune and every other little thing.

who tuned Chris or Ari?

I think Chris. Dont get me wrong I like the numbers, just wanted to see what you guys thought.
I'm thinking I really need a bigger turbo.

Others will have to comment on the power....

I like working with Chris. He has a pretty good reputation around here. A bit conservative, but still has good results.

of course everyone will ask - goals at what psi and desired spool, fuel and do you plan on using AI.

Well I wanted over 400whp at 1 bar, but these numbers are great. The only thing I was hoping for though is the 399 without using race gas lol. Mainly b/c I never use it so im thinking I may be stuck using only 350whp which was not my goal by any means so I will need a bigger turbo im sure. Stupid car is always taking my money haha

^boy i know how that feels. lol ^

if you go with a bigger turbo you are going to sacrifice alot of that bottom end power. those are actually great numbers for a street car!

i agree but only the 350 horsepower mark was with pump fuel. I can go with a T04s or Gt40...something a little bigger to get more on pump fuel

I dont see why with the proper setup 500h/p is out of reason on pump gas ive been running it for 3 1/2 years with 10 sec runs every year on 94 oct with out alch. or water assist!
I went 140 miles last night to dinner with some rotary buddies and even with 4:30 diff and J-spec 5th gear i got 17.5 mpg.
Im running turbonetics 62-1 on t2 8.5 to1 rotors but thats only half point of compression! So 400 h/p should be doable on pump, in my opinion!

ask your tuner what setups made more power on their dyno. charts can range alot dyno to dyno. if you can get the run files you can actually overlay them and see where you would gain and lose power by switching setups. i prefer a little less overall power and more usable power down low

The two lower boost runs have very similar torq/hp curves.
But at highest boost, the two curves only match up to about 6000 rpm then drop off a lot.
Makes me think the turbo ran out of flow capacity.

Yea that's what I thought too which came to mind a slightly bigger turbo. Or a higher flow cat...my at is a old 2.5 inch...a 3 inch may do the trick. I just dont like that drop off at 6000 and am not sure if I can change it.

Oh yea 400 is definitely doable on pump gas...just not sure if this turbo can do it and do it safely.
