Fittings for 3rg gen oil drain
OK I'm still having issues with my oil drain when using silicone hose and slip fittings, so I'm going to a stainless setup. I figured use a drain adapter that is female threaded with 1/2" then do a 1/2" to 12an adapter, I want to do this at either end but will this setup clear everything around the stock front oil drain location on a 3rd gen? I know it works for a 2nd gen.
Also I'm thinking I have another problem because the oild drain shouldn't really be under pressure should it? I mean I'm not just leaking a little bit, the stuff must be spraying out because it covers the whole passenger side of my engine.
I'm running a Turbonetics BB 62-1 with a small brakeline feed (whatever size has 8mm fittings on either end) and a 5/8" drain. Turbonetics doesn't suggest a restrictor but I can't think of what else could be the problem? Maybe my pan and therefore my oil drain are pressurizing?
I'm running the GZ oil pan.
