FD3S TDX61R install queries

Hi all,

Have a few questions if you help it would be great.

Probably all simple to answer but just want to be sure.

This the gasket that came with the kit, the hole diameter is fair bit smaller than then flange, is this ok?

Rear oil por on the engine block, is this now redundant, do I just block this off?

The two steel pipes that run across the top of the engine block, from oil filler neck and engine block, I take it these are redundant also and can be removed.

Coolant feed should go to the nipple to the right pointing 45 degrees down.

Oil return back into the top of the engine block

That is the wrong oil return to front cover gasket. Just reuse the OEM metal gasket.

Block off that OEM secondary turbo oil return drain.

Delete those two hardlines that run across the front iron. One is the OEM oil feed line, the other is part of the crank case vent( vacuum in this case for emissions).

Firstly the gasket. If it will be used to block off the rear oil return (to block it off) then it will be fine.
If your asking if you can use that gasket with the oil return, then I would personally enlarge the hole, or use RTV instead of the gasket. (or reuse the stock one)

Last picture, that's the oil feed that comes from the top of the engine block. The flange pictured in the first pic is for the oil return. So the oil comes out of the top of the block, into the turbo, then drains out the bottom of the turbo and back into the engine block / sump down the bottom.

I think you have the coolant the correct way round.

Cheers for confirming all of this at least I'm in the right direction 🙂
