Smile fd3 w/ apexi rx6 ... anyone done 1/4 mile? what time and terminal did you get?

Hi,

As I've found out that my car on its way from Japan is equipped with the rather small apexi RX6 single turbine and Bridge ported (or half bridge), I was wondering if anyone has a similar spec with an apexi RX6 turbo and has been to the drag and done a 1/4 mile.

What time and more importantly trap speed did you get ?

I'm hoping to be able to squeeze enough bhp from it to trap 117mph + if possible.

I know its not a drag turbo like a T78, but still, I've heard you can wring 470 flywheel ps out of them if they have the right supporting mods, and that (with the power to weight of the rx7) should surely be enough for 125mph or more! especially seeing the 997 turbo porsche is 480ps and manages 119mph with 4x4 and 1650kg!

Thanks peeps!

Jon.

I did 12.2 with 18 inch wheels and street tires with a terrible 60 ft. time (2.4sec) with a trap speed of 127mph...

Oh my gawd! Thats excellent.

What hp at the wheels / at the fly?

What injector setup and what type of porting do you have?

Also what boost pressure etc?

Cheers!

My car did 380rwhp on 91 octane with 1kg boost. Don't know how much that translates to the fly..

I'm using stock 550cc primaries and 1300cc secondary injectors on a mild street port engine. Hope that helps

I would guess about 420 to 430 UK brake horsepower at the flywheel.
