Exhaust Manifold/Turbo Hardware: studs, bolts, or?

What is the consensus on the type of hardware to use on an aftermarket manifold (the turbo to manifold flange connection)?

I've seen studs + nordlock washers + nuts, bolts + nuts, grade 8, grade 5, loctite vs no loctite, etc. Opinion seems to vary widely so I thought I would ask you guys what you prefer.

What material for hardware? Stainless? Inconel? Mild steel? Brass? Just kidding.

I used the stock nut and fold over washers on my girlfriends stock turbo. I see no way this could ail under normal cirumstances. For my car that has a hybrid turbo, I am going to try copper clad nuts with the fold over washers. I purchased them from himni. https://www.himni-racing.com/index.p...isucf6cqv3b713

be sure to use Hi- temp copper based anti seize on what ever hardware you use.

Use the proper stud + locking copper nut combo. Bolts will back out or lose tension causing a leak. If you get the right stuff instead of buying hardware store crap, you won't have issues down the road. I also retighten them after a few heat cycles to make sure its locked tight.

rx7store and atpturbo carries the correct turbo hardware.
