Exhaust manifold options for FC w/60-1

Like the title says, what are my manifold options for upgrading to a 60-1 on an FC? I'm specifically looking for a divided manifold, and I don't want to spend the $400+ on most of the ones I've seen. Also, if anyone has dimensions or schematics of the good, more expensive manifolds, maybe I could use that to have someone fabricate one - that is if I can find anyone around here that'd know what I was talking about.

I have a 60-1 on an HKS manifold. The HKS mani is built great, simple and I paid 240.00 for it new...can't beat that

Matlock 08-15-03 12:16 PM

I will agree with bkapold@aol.com. It's simple, rugged, and inexpensive. It's not divided, but if you don't want to spend $400 it's really a good choice.

i wasn't able to find a divided manifold for my 60-1 i had to have one made, it was $480. I'd measue out all the dimentions for you but its been installed on my car already and its too much of a pain to pull it off. http://www.devilmotorsports.com/rtr/...-024s_jpeg.gif

Hks makes some pretty nice hard parts. I've never bought any electronics from HK$ but I'm sure there equally as nice

I still have to go pick up my hks cast manifold for my 60-1. I'll let you know what i think of it when I get it. For the price though I dont think you can go wrong.

Some of the members of this board are on some serious drugs too. I pm'd one guy (whom i wont mention ;) ) for a custom stainless manifold and he told me $900 US. FUCK THAT SHIT, must think I'm stupid.

The reality is on these things that stainless tubular stuff is EXPENSIVE. If you want something that will work get an HKS LOG manifold. If you want something that will work better spend $400 to get a divided cast like the one from XS. If you want the best, tunned equal length etc it's gonna cost big.

Figure this, just the flanges in 304 SS are running me $50 for material and another $100 for machining. Throw in Stainless tubing is another hunderd, plus bends, plus welding, plus the knowledge to make it right the first time and your talking big $$$'s.

You can make piece part manifolds from mild steel with Weld Els etc for less... But top quality costs.

Is this the HKS manifold you're talking about?

Where's the dump for the external wastegate? Does anyone have more pictures of it?

That cast manifold is for the "Actuator" type turbos. If you want a Fully divided cast manifold that flows well, I have an XS for sale...PM me :)

bkapold@aol.com 08-17-03 06:23 AM

the manifold has a flange on the oposite side for the w/g . Of course the only w/g that will bolt up is the HKS.

I'v had this setup for 2 years now and it works great and never had a problem

I just picked up my hks cast manifold and I"m happy with how it looks and build quality, especially for the price I got at 400 CAN

Hey dude,

How much boost are you running with your setup? I just got my 60-1 for my turbo 1st gen. I also have the hks manifold, hks 40 mm wastegate and blitz bov.

I noticed ur still running the stock computer. How is the drivability with that setup. I will be running stock computer with a haltech f5 additional injector controller.

wow tripple post :)

I need to update my website, i'm not using the stock computer anymore, i have a haltech E6K with 1600cc secondarys and 690cc primarys. I'm running 8lbs right now. When I ordered my wastegate some how i got the wrong size spring in it. Its only a 6psi spring. As soon as i can find some where that sales the springs we are going to tune it up to 24psi.
