Engine bay always smells like fuel.
 

I'm getting quite tired of this. I have no visible leaks, no fuel is pooling, injector seals aren't leaking. I've even re done my entire system from the firewall.
I've even ran the pump for a few hours to look for leaks, nothing.

My hard fuel lines are GM flare crimped and I have special GM fuel line to AN adapters. The whole thing is AN lines with an Aeromotive FPR.


My charcoal canister is vented at the rear of the car.

The engine bay constantly stinks of raw fuel, mostly near the booster, I just can't figure it out.

I would like to know too, since mine also smells but slightly.
It does not get into the cabin and engine bay is super clean, no dirt or grime, since it a new rebuilt.
I have FPR, aftermarket fuel rail for 1600cc secondaries, new RP upgraded fuel pump, new fuel filter, new 550cc OEM primaries, new fuel damper and no visible hoses are cracked or leaking anywhere. :scratch:

check for exhaust leak? i was running rich and with an exhaust leak it smelt like raw fuel

Hate to tell you this, but that's not your engine bay, it's the car. ;)

it maybe coming up the fuel vent line. did you make sure you capped that off with a rubber plug?

Where is that fuel vent line?

^ He says the charcoal canister is vented to the other side of the car, and If I read the first post correctly he's already used the fuel pump diagnostic connector to look for leaks.

If you're smelling fuel strongly when the engine is off the only thing I can think of to check would be the evap system. You may have to take it somewhere with a smoke machine.

Check your fuel pulsation damper. They're prone to leaking and causing engine fires.
