dyno graph and picture gt42
 

I got a good deal on a gt42 with a 76mm inducer and would like to get a idea how this turbo spools.

Would like to see dynograph and of course with port info.

And engine setup pictures are welcome.

On a 2rotor 13b of course.

Here's a picture when my car had a GT42R. Can't help you with the dyno graphs or compressor maps sorry but I'm sure others would chime in to help you with that.

And how did you like the gt42? Street drive . turbo lag etc etc. what's your opinion of it?
Journal or ball bearing? Turbine size?

Well unfortunately I can't comment on the turbo as the previous owner had it and swapped it out for a Apexi RX6 before I bought it. I remember seeing some posts that he put up saying it was kind of laggy. But I think lag is subjective and also depends on what your purpose for the car is.

Bump anyone?

Arron cake runs a 42 on his aux bridge turbo n/a... from what I recall he said it spools pretty quick.

Aaron Cake has a GT4088R, not a 42...

Lag City.

It's a pretty big turbo, and I would say it's overkill for most running a 2 rotor. There are a lot of newer/smaller turbos that can do pretty good power. I would recommend figuring out your hp goal and the intended use of the vehicle is going to be and size the turbo accordingly



13b, semi pp, GT4202R, dyno run is in 4th gear, 800rwhp. Search ProEFI for the rest of the thread.
