That's just a undivided manifold nothing divided about it.

The runners have to divide to mate up with each rotor housing......

so why is that not considered a divided manifold? I mean it's not like the log style manifolds. Lets say the wastegate was welded on the runners rather than above it. Could you theoretically cut off the undivided flange and install a divided one thus making it a fully functional divided manifold?

The manifold is for i believe for use in conjunction with a quick spool value and a divided turbo.

Or, use with an undivided turbo minus the quick spool valve.

it's your choice.

It's not divided because the runners meet just before entering the exhaust housing. A divided manifold has runners that enter the exhaust housing individually.

if the runners collect before the flange then it's just a collected, undivided manifold.

It *appears* as though it would have a little more velocity then the typical log mani. given the lack of 90 degree bends right after the exhaust port.

But its *likely* not going to perform as well as a fully divided manifold on a fully divided turbine housing.

It looks like a nice manifold though, good construction, decent wastegate placement.

Yes you will see a benefit over the log style manifold. It wont give you the response of a fully divided manifold. For the price that is a good buy.

Yeah that one is actually a good buy. Reason I'm asking these questions is because I just had a manifold made down in puerto rico along with a friend of mine who was down there this week and will be bringing them back tonight. These manifolds he makes are on plenty of 7 second drag cars and seem to work fine for them but it's the same style as the one above. It's divided until right before the undivided turbo flange for some reason. I'm imagining they don't care much about response because they will be 2 stepping off the line whereas mine is a street car which does make a difference for me. Anyways I'm guessing I can just lop that undivided part off and weld a divided flange on and it would be a fully divided manifold at that point. Only thing is the wastegate comes off of only one runner so I'd have to cut a hole in the other runner and the wastegate runner and add a pipe between them or else I'd have one runner that would never relieve exhaust pressure.

my old 240sx has a Neukin manifold, great build quality. very heavy duty, i sold the car and its still going strong.

if you buy that manifold i would not hack it up... just leave it as it is. at that point you might as well try to build your own ? you would be halfway there with the work involved

Don't modify it either be happy with it the way it is or do something else, it's built well using heavy wall pipe and large welds. Cutting it up would be a waste,if you want good response get fully divided. The PR's run them undivided mostly because the housings they choose to use. They aren't getting much if any benefit from it.

Not to mention it wouldn't simply be a matter of cutting off the flange and welding on a divided one since the wastegate merge is between the end of the primaries and the flange....you'd lose the wastegate gate tubing if you put the divided flange where the primaries meet.

Just run a smallish turbine housing, non divided.

Damnit! I'll probably run this one for a bit then but this is a street car, not a track car so I'd rather the response being that I have a 1.10 housing on my borgwarner s472 and don't plan on or haven't seen a smaller non divided hotside for these turbos. I don't know why but I can't seem to get a good fully divided manifold, they keep eluding me for some unknown reason!

Not to burst your bubble but a 1.10 S472 is not exactly responsive to begin with so I wouldn't worry too much. If somebody is making manifolds for $160 they are either doing charity work or they are nowhere near the quality he's looking for.

Well I'm hoping the half bridge port will help things out in that department and also every little bit helps which was the main reasoning for wanting the fully divided manifold.

Just run the Neukin man. My ShookRacing one looks similar to that design and similar pricing. My Holset HX40 has a full 15psi by 3600 rpms with a tiny streetport. Responds GREAT.
