continuity on Bosch 044 pump leads
What's up guys...
Can someone confirm if both the + and - on a bosch 044 pump should have Continuity??? This does not seem right to me at all but im no electrical expert... I installed the pumps and I was going to prime my line manually by getting power straight from the battery and as soon as I touched the power side the pump started running with no ground wire attached, its like it was grounding itself off the pump case/housing... that's not right is it?? so I tested both pumps and they both have continuity between both + and - leads... so I was still confused and I pulled out two other pumps that burned out on me and they to had continuity between both leads, am I crazy in thinking that I got 4 bad pumps??? |
My Walbro 400 lph did, but at a high resistance. Brushed motors have resisted continuity between positive and negative, but I'm not sure if the 044 is brushless. If it is close to zero ohm, there could be a problem. Iirc my Walbro was around 800ohm.
